Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween from my little monsters. This year we had a ninja, who was kind enough to remove his face covering so that we could all tell who he was in the photo, an angel and a pumpkin. It is difficult to see but the pumpkin did have hair that can only be described as day glow orange. It is a color that is rarely seen in real pumpkins but was wildly popular during the 1980's.

We also carved pumpkins. It is tradition at our house and we spend a lot of time on them. Unless you are mom and then you are sick of the whole event by the time you have hollowed out 3 (or more) pumpkins, helped at least 1 child with their design and carving and you are thinking about the mess that has to be picked up. Then it takes about 5 minutes to do the actual carving on your pumpkin.

I hope you had a fun and safe holiday. Don't eat too much candy. It may taste wonderful but it doesn't do any favors to the waistline.
