Where have you been caught doing it?

Get your mind out of the gutter! I'm talking about music here, or more specifically dancing along to music.

I love my music. I always have something playing in the car, when I'm cleaning, scrapbooking, etc. When I'm alone in the car I enjoy turning the volume up LOUD. And when it is a nice day (like today) I open the sunroof and open the windows. None of this stops me from enjoying my music either.

I'm not a tap your foot or finger along with the music kind of girl either. I'm more of a stomp your feet, wave your arms, move your hips, sing at the top of your lungs kind of girl. Even at red lights and stop signs.

My iPod is almost always in my purse so I can listen at any time. I do have self restraint when listening in line at the grocery store, at the gym, at the library, and other public places. But sometimes I forget where I am and you might catch me by surprise, say at the Dr. office. I might have been singing softly and dancing around while waiting my turn. It might have happened, I'm not admitting to anything.

The shower is one of the best places to sing, everyone knows that. Dancing while shampooing your hair is exercise while getting clean, right? Two birds with one stone kind of thing. When one of the kids walks in and asks if you have really, finally gone crazy you can just tell them you are multi tasking.

But back to that stop light. There is no excuse when you get caught. All you can do is wave to the stranger staring at you like you are blue and from another planet and invite them to sing along. If the light is long enough they may actually take you up on the offer. Today it was a short light so I waved good-bye and continued on my way. Singing and dancing all the way home.

Ooooh, girl. I have music going ALL the time! Lately it's blues -- Stevie Ray Vaughan, Alvin Youngblood Hart, Keb Mo, North Mississippi All-Stars ..... Good stuff!

OH! And Johnny Cash. He is The Man. There is a new DVD of Folsom Prison coming out soon.
